Questions

Why is no text found in my PDF?

Scanned PDFs are pictures of pages, not text. They need OCR (optical character recognition), which this tool does not do.

Does it keep tables and columns?

Text is kept in reading order line by line. Tables become lines of text with spaces between cells, and two-column layouts may interleave.

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

No. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then extract the text.
