About this tool

Choose a resolution: 150 DPI is fine for screens, 300 DPI for printing. Each page downloads as its own image.

Saving PDF pages as images

There are many reasons to turn a PDF page into an image. Social media platforms and messaging apps show images instantly but often treat PDFs as attachments. Presentation software and website editors may accept images more easily than documents. Some online forms ask for a JPG of a certificate or an ID card even when you only have it as a PDF. This tool converts each page into its own image file.

Choose a resolution that matches how the image will be used. 72 DPI produces small files that are fine for quick previews. 150 DPI is a good balance for viewing on screens and sharing in messages. 300 DPI gives sharp detail suitable for printing, but the files are much larger. You can save as JPG for small file sizes, which suits most pages with photos, or PNG for crisp text and diagrams without compression artefacts.

Keep in mind that this tool renders each page as a picture. It does not pull out the separate photos embedded inside the PDF; instead it captures each whole page exactly as it appears. Once converted, the text in the image can no longer be selected or searched, so keep the original PDF if you need to copy text later. If the page has very small print, choose a higher resolution so the text stays readable when people zoom in. Each page downloads as a separate image. The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded, so private documents stay on your device.

How to use it

  1. Choose your PDF file.
  2. Set the options.
  3. Press "Convert pages". The new file downloads automatically.
