About this tool
Enter classes held so far and classes attended. The calculator shows your current percentage and either the number of classes you need to attend without a break to reach the target, or how many you can safely skip.
How to use it
- Enter your numbers in the boxes, or drag the sliders.
- Read the result on the right. It updates as you type.
- Open the year-by-year table, if shown, to see how the numbers change over time.
- Use 'Copy link with these values' to save the calculation or send it to someone.
Questions
How is attendance percentage calculated?
Classes attended ÷ classes held × 100. 45 out of 60 is 75%.
How many classes do I need to reach 75%?
Solve (attended + x) ÷ (held + x) ≥ 0.75 for x. The calculator does this for any target, assuming you attend every class from now on.
Is 75% the rule everywhere?
It is the most common minimum for Indian universities and boards, but some courses require 80% or more, and medical leave rules differ. Check your college's policy.
