What size is an Instagram post?
1080 × 1080 for square, 1080 × 1350 for portrait (4:5, which takes up more of the feed) and 1080 × 1920 for Stories and Reels.
Crop or fit: which should I use?
Crop fills the frame and trims the edges, which suits photos. Fit keeps the whole image and adds a background colour, which suits screenshots, posters and text.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
